Experience on stage.
An understanding of the room.

Omar’s background spans work as a professional bassist, bandleader and musical director, alongside international experience in hospitality and live entertainment.

Across hotels, cruise ships and performance venues, that work has involved more than playing music. It has meant assembling musicians, developing repertoire, interpreting performance requirements and understanding the realities of hotel operations.

It offers a perspective on the whole relationship: what a venue needs, what performers can deliver, and the preparation that connects the two.

Opus is a new company built on that accumulated experience. Its purpose is to apply this knowledge through a deliberate, venue-led process.

Behind the performance

Repertoire.
Arrangements.
Rehearsal.

The preparation that guests never see.

The work behind the performance

Knowing the music.
Understanding what it asks of people.

Repertoire has to be learned, arrangements understood and a group prepared to perform together. Omar’s experience of that work informs how Opus connects an idea with its execution.

Specialist entertainment expertise for hospitality.

The principle behind the practice

“Through more than 20 years working across hotels, cruise ships, venues and live entertainment environments, I have come to understand that exceptional entertainment does not happen by chance. It needs to be intentional.”
